ABOUT US

競賽目的

明志科技大學(以下簡稱本校)秉持邁向產學研發型一流大學之願景,積極推動國際化創新創業發展,特訂定「明志科技大學國際青年創業家競賽辦法」,促進國內外大學在校生互動合作,激發創新創業思維與行動 ,培育國際青年創業家精神,同時鏈結本校姊妹校及國際合作夥伴,建立跨國資源共享與交流平台。本競賽採英文報名與簡報之評選制度,藉由實戰演練培養參賽者之英文表達與跨文化溝通能力,強化學生務實致用兼具創新的能力,激發青年創業潛能,厚植其邁向國際市場的競爭優勢。

Ming Chi University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as “MCUT”) is committed to becoming a world-class university that integrates industry, academia, and R&D as a core part of its vision. MCUT actively promotes international innovation and entrepreneurship and hereby establishes the “Ming Chi University of Technology International Youth Entrepreneurship Competition Guidelines” to encourage exchange and collaboration among students from universities both in Taiwan and abroad, inspire innovative entrepreneurial thinking and action, and cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit of international youth as change-makers. Through the integration of resources from MCUT’s sister institutions and international partners, the Competition aims to build a multinational platform for resource sharing and exchange. The Competition adopts a selection mechanism that conducts registration and presentations in English, with the objective of enhancing participants’ abilities in self-expression and cross-cultural communication, strengthening their practical and innovative capabilities, stimulating their potential as future change-makers, and reinforcing their competitiveness in the global market.

團員資格
Qualification of Team Members

  • 國內外大專院校學士班、碩士班或博士班在校學生組隊參賽,可跨校組隊,每隊至少2人,其中需包含一名非中華民國籍(不含中港澳)之在校生。
    Students currently enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral programs at colleges or universities, either domestic or overseas, are eligible to form teams to participate in the Competition. Inter-institutional teams are permitted. Each team must consist of at least two members, including at least one current student who is not a citizen of the Republic of China (excluding China, Hong Kong, and Macau).
  • 每位學生以參與一組團隊為限。
    Each student may participate in only one team.

團隊作品資格
Qualification of Team Works

  • 參賽作品以符合「創新科技」之創意構想與技術,且能將其形塑商品化為主。
    All submissions shall demonstrate creative ideas and technologies consistent with the concept of “innovative technology” and shall demonstrate strong potential for commercialization.
  • 參與作品須為團隊所原創,不得有抄襲之行為,經查證屬實者,主辦單位有權取消參賽資格並追討獎金。
    All submissions must be original works created by the team. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. In the event of any violation, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the team and reclaim any prizes awarded.

  • 依利益迴避原則挑選合適之委員,遴選 10 組團隊入圍決賽。
  • In accordance with the principle of conflict-of-interest avoidance, ten teams will be selected as finalists for the Final Round.

Q1. 參賽團隊成員是否一定要有國際生?
Is it mandatory for each team to include an international student?

是。參賽團隊須由國內外大專院校學士班、碩士班或博士班在校生組成,每隊至少 2 人,且必須至少包含 1 名非中華民國籍(不含中港澳)之在校生。

Yes. Each participating team must consist of current bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral students from universities either in Taiwan or abroad. Each team shall have at least two members and must include at least one student who is not a citizen of the Republic of China (excluding China, Hong Kong, and Macau).

Q2. 學士班、碩士班與博士班在校生可以跨學級一起組隊參賽嗎?
Can undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students form cross-level teams?

可以。團隊成員可由學士班、碩士班與博士班在校生自由組成,只要整隊至少 2 人,且必須至少包含 1 名非中華民國籍(不含中港澳)在校生,即可符合報名資格。

Yes. Teams may be formed freely by current undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. As long as each team consists of at least two members and includes at least one student who is not a citizen of the Republic of China (excluding China, Hong Kong, and Macau), the team is eligible to register.

Q3. 可以跨校或跨國組隊嗎?
Can teams be formed across different schools or countries?

可以,團隊成員可來自不同學校、不同國家。

Yes. Team members may come from different universities and different countries.

Q4. 我可以加入多個團隊嗎?
Can I join more than one team?

不可以,每位參賽者只能加入一隊。

No. Each participant may join only one team.

Q5. 團隊成員是否可以在競賽期間變更?
Can team members be changed during the Competition?

報名後原則上不得更換成員,如遇特殊情況需經主辦單位審核同意。

In principle, no. Team members may not be changed after registration. Any exceptional circumstances must be reviewed and approved by the Organizer.

Q6. 作品是否必須與科技相關?
Does the entry need to be related to technology?

是,參賽作品需屬於「創新科技」領域,並具商品化潛力。

Yes. All entries must fall within the field of innovative technology and possess potential for commercialization.

Q7. 是否接受已商品化或已上市的產品/服務參賽?
Are products or services that have already been commercialized or launched eligible to participate?

作品需屬團隊原創,且符合「創新科技」及可商品化特性;是否符合資格由主辦單位認定。

Entries must be original works created by the team and must align with innovative technology and possess commercialization potential. Whether an entry meets the eligibility requirements will be determined at the discretion of the Organizer.

Q8. 報名資料若不完整是否會通知補件?
Will we be notified if our registration documents are incomplete?

主辦單位會通知補件,需在 3 日內補齊。

Yes. The Organizer will notify the team to provide the required supplemental documents, which must be submitted within three (3) days.

Q9. 參賽資料上傳後若發生檔案損毀,主辦單位會通知嗎?
If the uploaded files are corrupted or cannot be opened, will the Organizer notify us?

若明顯無法開啟或確認內容,主辦單位將通知補件,需在通知後 3 日內補齊。

Yes. If the files are clearly inaccessible or the content cannot be verified, the Organizer will notify the team to provide the required supplemental documents, which must be submitted within three (3) days of receiving the notice.

Q10. 報名後還能修改資料嗎?
Can we modify our registration information after submission?

可以,只要在收件截止日前重新登入系統即可編輯並上傳最新版本的資料;逾期後將不再受理修改。若在操作或上傳過程中遇到任何技術問題,請立即聯絡主辦單位協助處理。

Yes. You may revise and upload updated materials by logging back into the system before the submission deadline. No modifications will be accepted after the deadline. If you encounter any technical issues during the editing or uploading process, please contact the Organizer immediately for assistance.

Q11. 創業構想書是否有頁數限制?
Is there a page limit for the Business Proposal?

創業構想書無頁數限制,但需以英文撰寫、A4 規格、字體 12 點以上,並上傳 PDF 檔,大小不得超過 10MB。建議以清楚、具體及具說服力的方式呈現構想內容,避免冗長敘述,重點說明創業構想的可行性與創新性。

No. There is no page limit for the Business Proposal. However, it must be written in English, formatted in A4 size with a font size of 12 points or above, and uploaded as a PDF file not exceeding 10MB. It is recommended that the proposal be presented in a clear, specific, and persuasive manner. Please avoid overly lengthy descriptions and focus on demonstrating the feasibility and innovative value of your entrepreneurial concept.

Q12. 書面審查需要到場嗎?
Do teams need to be present for the Preliminary Document Review?

不需要,書面審查由評審委員評比後公告入圍團隊。

No. Attendance is not required. The Review Committee will evaluate all submissions, and the list of Finalist teams will be announced after the review.

Q13. 參賽作品是否需要提交原型或實物?
Do teams need to submit a prototype or physical product?

書面審查階段不需提交實體原型;決賽當天可依團隊需求自行攜帶展示物、模型或產品。

No. A physical prototype is not required for the Preliminary Document Review. Teams may, however, bring models, prototypes, or product samples to the Final Round based on their presentation needs.

Q14. 入圍後若無法趕上決賽繳交期限怎麼辦?
What should we do if we cannot meet the Final Round submission deadline after being selected as a Finalist?

逾期未繳交視同放棄,不得要求延期。

If the required materials are not submitted by the deadline, it will be regarded as a forfeiture of participation, and no extension will be granted.

Q15. 入圍獎金如何領取?
How do Finalist teams receive the Finalist Award?

入圍團隊可獲得新臺幣伍仟元之入圍獎金。團隊須完成所有規定文件之繳交並全程參與決賽,且依本校相關核銷程序辦理後,方可領取獎金;未出席決賽者視同放棄得獎與領獎資格。

To be eligible for payment, teams must submit all required documents, participate in the Final Round in full, and complete the University’s required disbursement procedures. Teams that do not attend the Final Round will be considered to have forfeited the award.

Q16. 決賽簡報一定要全英文嗎?
Must the Final Round presentation be conducted entirely in English?

是,本競賽強調國際化,簡報、海報與現場口頭簡報皆須全英文。

Yes. As the Competition emphasizes internationalization, the presentation slides, posters, and on-site oral presentations must all be conducted in English.

Q17. 決賽簡報是否必須採用主辦單位提供的模板?
Are Finalist teams required to use the presentation template provided by the Organizer?

競賽辦法未規定模板,但格式需符合:全英文,採 PDF 格式,16:9 螢幕比例,限 20 頁。

No. The Competition Guidelines do not require the use of a specific template. However, the presentation must meet the required format: English only, PDF format, 16:9 aspect ratio, and a maximum of 20 slides.

Q18. 決賽簡報是否允許播放影片?
Are Finalist teams allowed to include videos in their presentations?

簡報格式不限是否含影片,但總頁數須於 20 頁內,且須能於現場順利播放。

Yes. Videos may be included in the presentation. However, the total slide count must remain within 20 slides, and all media files must be able to play properly during the on-site presentation.

Q19. 決賽所有團隊成員都要到場嗎?
Must all team members be present at the Final Round?

是,決賽需全員到場參與海報展示、簡報與 Q&A。缺席視同放棄。

Yes. All team members are required to attend the Final Round, including the poster presentation, oral presentation, and Q&A session. Absence will be regarded as a forfeiture of participation and eligibility for awards.

Q20. 若決賽當天因不可抗力因素無法到場,是否可補救?
If a team cannot attend due to force majeure, is any remedy available?

未出席即視為放棄資格,不提供補救措施;如遇重大不可抗力,依主辦單位公告處理。

No. Teams that do not attend the Final Round will be regarded as having forfeited their eligibility, and no remedial measures will be provided. In the event of a major force majeure situation, the matter will be handled in accordance with the announcements made by the Organizer.

Q21. 如果外籍隊員臨時無法到場,團隊是否失去資格?
If an international team member is unable to attend the Final Round, will the team be disqualified?

決賽須全員到場。若任何成員未出席,將視為未完成決賽並喪失獎勵資格。

Yes. All team members are required to be present at the Final Round. If any member is absent, the team will be regarded as not having completed the Final Round and will lose eligibility for awards.

Q22. 決賽簡報有時間限制嗎?
Is there a time limit for the Final Round presentation?

有。簡報 6 分鐘、Q&A 4 分鐘。

Yes. Each team will have 6 minutes for the presentation and 4 minutes for the Q&A session.

Q23. 決賽簡報可以由幾位成員上台進行?
How many team members may present during the Final Round?

決賽簡報至少需由 1 名成員上台報告,其他團隊成員可自由選擇是否一同上台,但全體成員仍須到場參與決賽活動。

At least one team member must deliver the presentation on stage. Other members may choose whether or not to join the presenter on stage; however, all team members are required to be present at the Final Round.

Q24. 比賽會提供交通或住宿補助嗎?
Does the Competition provide transportation or accommodation subsidies?

本競賽未提供交通或住宿補助,建議團隊依自身情況事先評估並自行負擔相關費用。

No. The Competition does not provide transportation or accommodation subsidies. Teams are advised to assess their own circumstances in advance and cover any related expenses independently.

Q25. 獎金是給整隊還是給個人?領取方式是什麼?
Is the prize money awarded per team or per individual?

獎金是「以隊伍」為單位,由團隊推派一位成員(需有本國銀行帳戶)領取。領獎人需依本校行政流程檢附相關文件,獎金將於審核後約一個月內撥付;並將依政府規定預扣二代健保補充費與所得稅。未依規定辦理者,視同放棄領取資格。

The prize money is awarded per team. Each team must designate one member (who must have a bank account in Taiwan) to receive the payment. The designated recipient must submit all required documents in accordance with the University’s administrative procedures. The prize money will be disbursed approximately one month after verification. In compliance with government regulations, the 2nd Generation NHI supplementary premium and income tax will be withheld as required. Failure to complete the required disbursement procedures will be regarded as a forfeiture of eligibility to receive the prize.

Q26. 獎金是否會扣稅?
Is the prize money subject to tax withholding?

是,依政府規定需預扣二代健保補充費與所得稅。

Yes. In accordance with government regulations, the 2nd Generation NHI supplementary premium and income tax will be withheld from the prize money.

Q27. 主辦單位會公開使用我們的海報、簡報或照片嗎?
Will the Organizer publicly use our posters, presentation slides, or photos?

會。主辦單位保有使用參賽及得獎作品進行宣傳、展示、出版的權利。

Yes. The Organizer reserves the right to use participating and award-winning works—including posters, presentation slides, and photos—for promotion, exhibition, and publication.

Q28. 我們可以把作品投稿到其他比賽或公開發表嗎?
May we submit our work to other competitions or publish it elsewhere?

可以。請務必確保作品為團隊原創、不侵犯任何第三方智慧財產權、不影響本競賽的規範;若違反規定,競賽有權取消資格並追回獎金。

Yes. You may submit or publish your work in other competitions or platforms. However, you must ensure that the work is original, does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, and does not violate any rules of this Competition. If any violation is found, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the team and reclaim any awarded prizes.

Q29. 比賽是否會提供評審回饋?
Will evaluation feedback be provided?

書面審查與決賽評審結果將統一公告,但不提供個別詳細評語。

The results of the Preliminary Document Review and the Final Round will be announced publicly; however, individual comments or detailed feedback will not be provided.

Q30. 若對評審結果有疑義可以申訴嗎?
Can we file an appeal if we have concerns about the evaluation results?

評審結果為最終決定,競賽辦法未提供申訴機制;主辦單位保有最終解釋權。

No. The evaluation results are final, and the Competition Guidelines do not provide an appeal mechanism. The Organizer reserves the right of final interpretation.

Q31. 若活動因不可預期原因調整或延期會如何公告?
How will we be notified if the event is adjusted or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances?

如有異動,主辦單位將公告於競賽網頁,並以電子郵件通知參賽團隊。

If any changes occur, the Organizer will announce them on the Competition website and notify all participating teams via email.

Q32. 主辦單位是否會變更競賽內容或時程?
Can the Organizer change the Competition content or schedule?

主辦單位保有競賽內容與活動時程之變更及最終解釋權。本辦法未盡事宜,悉依本校及相關法令規定辦理。

Yes. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the Competition content and schedule and retains the right of final interpretation. Any matters not covered herein will be handled in accordance with MCUT regulations and relevant laws.
